Good News:

This Week’s Morning Recess Court Rotation is:
6th Grade: Basketball
7th Grade: Volleyball

Here is what is happening at KMS:
8th Graders interested in running for Kapolei High School Freshman Class Office, Registration packets are now available.  You can pick them up from Ms. Kerr or have your advisory teacher print off a packet.  Candidate Registration is due on March 31st followed by a candidates meeting on c-stage at 2:45

Tomorrow join student council on the cultural mound at recess for our egg/spoon race.  You will need a partner for this one.  Winners get an ice cream coupon redeemable at KUBE.

Advisory Ambassadors, your next meeting is tomorrow, March 7 in the library from 12:05 - 1:10.

Students - Student Council is excited to announce the return of our Whoʻs My Match Activity on Wednesday, March 8th.  During Homeroom you will receive a number on a colored piece of paper that you will wear around your neck.  When you find your matching number in the same color paper, you both come to student council at recess, lunch, or after school and you can turn in your numbers for a bag of chips.  At recess and lunch you can find us at each grade level building, and After School you can find us at KUBE.  Do not use the 5 minute passing to find your match.  This activity will not excuse you from being tardy.

Keep memorizing those digits of Pi. To enter, 6th graders can go to Ms. Beckum in room G114 or Mr. Shigeyasu in G104.  7th grade can see Ms. Robins in F105 and 8th graders can go to Ms. Kerrʻs office in the back of the cafeteria.  The top three winners get to pi(e) a willing staff member of their choice on Friday, March 10 at 2:15 on the cultural mound.  The last chance to enter is by the end of the day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7

Students, your teachers will be giving Warrior Points for more than Readiness.  Teachers will look for students excelling in the six GLOʻs.

An important bus safety announcement: Our bus company, ground transportation, is asking all students to not walk in front of buses or vans unless in a designated crosswalk.  Bus drivers cannot see you.  Also, please ask the individual dropping you off or picking you up to be in designated loading/unloading zones only as to not block the entry and exit of buses.

The planner artwork contest has started.  Those interested in submitting artwork for the 2023 - 2024 planner have until Friday, March 24th.  Please read through the guidelines and scoring rubric before starting your masterpiece.  This information has been emailed to you or you can pick up a printed version from Ms. Kerr.  The winner receives a $100 visa gift card and their artwork printed on 1000 KMS Planners for next school year.
